Palahniuk was in his early thirties and unable to place what would ultimately become his third novel ( Invisible Monsters) so he penned Fight Club as a kind of “ fuck you to the New York publishing industry”. Let’s explore these now and, for anyone unfamiliar with the work in question, expect adult subject matter and spoilers.
